Lower Limb Pain with Running

Choose Physio for Tradies Health

A tradies’ health is their most important tool, yet Australian tradies experience some of the highest rates of injury and time off work compared to other workers. It’s not just about your Physio session…

We are very proud of the service and care we provide to our clients at Beechboro Physiotherapy. But the work we do with you in the clinic isn’t the only way we help you achieve your outcomes. The period between Physiotherapy sessions is crucial in maintaining the benefits you’ve achieved and progressing even further.

Providing a home exercise program (HEP) to patients is one of the most fundamental and important aspects of physiotherapy. Research has shown that patients who adhere to their prescribed exercises are significantly better at achieving their goals and demonstrate a greater increase in physical function.

Iliotibial Band Friction Syndrome (ITBFS)

Iliotibial Band Friction Syndrome (ITBFS)

The iliotibial band is a long tendon that runs down the outside of the thigh and inserts on the side of the knee. It provides stabilisation to the knee in the walking and running motion. With repeated bending/straightening of the knee, the iliotibial band (ITB) rubs against the prominent bone on the outside of the femur (thigh bone) at the knee.
